Picking our own Peaches

Summer is a great time for fruit harvest. This morning, we went to a fruit farm to pick our own peaches. It was about a half an hour 's drive from our place. Having grown up in a city, this was the first time that daddy and mommy experienced picking our own fruits.

This was the place where we waited for the truck to bring us to the orchard.

While waiting for the driver, we took a picture with the scarecrow.

Off we go!

It is certainly not easy to carry a baby and pick fruits at the same time.

Daddy! I want to pick some peaches too!

This was our fruit harvest so far.

After we came back from the orchard, we visited the farm market. Their summer specialties include cantaloupe, seedless watermelon, sweet corn, tomatoes, green peppers, cucumbers and zucchini. Besides the peaches that we picked, Mommy also bought some tomatoes and cucumbers from the farm market.

I guess it is certainly more satisfying to eat the fruits that we pick on our own. Hopefully, we will be back to pick the raspberries, apples and pumpkins which will be harvested in September. Before we left, we took some pictures of Sheri with the faceboards that were outside the farm.
