Boston trip

This week, daddy had to attend a conference in Boston for a week. Unlike the previous time, mommy and baby Sheri decided to tag along this time. It's the first time that baby Sheri is going on a long trip, so we had to make sure that we brought sufficient food, diapers, clothes and not to forget her favourite toys so that she can keep herself entertained in the hotel room. We had to set off early in the morning on Saturday morning. Mommy told Sheri about the trip the night before. Somehow, she seemed to be aware of it and she woke up almost the same time as daddy and mommy. Fortunately, we loaded our stuff into the car the night before, so we did not take long to move out of the house. The drive is estimated to be about five and half hours, but we expected some delay as we had to drive through the New York city. Surprisingly, the traffic was pretty smooth from New York to Connecticut, but there was a huge traffic jam once we entered Massachusetts. We took a break at one rest stop before we drove into downtown Boston. By the time we checked in the hotel, it was already 4 o'clock in the afternoon.

After such a long and exhausting trip, it feels really good to laze around before meeting daddy's friends for dinner. It's pretty convenient to get around Boston using the T-subway. The subway system is easy to understand, unlike the one in the New York City that always keeps mommy baffled. However, unfortunately, not all the subway stations are accessible to strollers. The Arlington station that is in close proximity to our hotel is underground and the only way to access the subway is through the stairs. So, we had no choice but to do a bit of workout before dinner. Daddy had to fold up the stroller and carry it down the stairs while mommy had to carry baby Sheri who now weighs like a ton now. Fortunately, the people on the subway were considerate to give up their seats when they saw us lugging a baby and a stroller. By the time when we met up daddy's friends at Harvard Square for dinner, we were famished. As usual, baby Sheri is very amiable to people whom she met only for the first time.

After a hearty meal and a good chat with daddy's good friends, we returned to the hotel. Baby was completely exhausted and she slept like a pig.
