Yesterday was a fun-filled day. We spent the whole day in Dutch Wonderland-a kingdom for kids. As the name implies, it is an amusement park for the kids. All the rides are specially designed for the kids, hence they may not be as thrilling as compared to those in the adults' amusement park. Mommy has always wanted to bring Sheri here as she heard very good comments for the park. We were fortunate to get the tickets on a discount through daddy's company.
Upon arrival at the park, we had to check our little girl's height against the gems chart to see what rides are suitable for her.
We put our little girl on the Duke's dozer. However, she was too short to reach out for the controls.
Daddy took Sheri on the Sky ride, it was a pity that mommy could not take a picture of them.
How about a ride on the Sky Fighter! That was the second ride that Sheri bravely took on her own. One of the mommies even commented on her courageous behaviour when she learnt from mommy that she is only 17 months old. Three cheers for Sheri!
Our little girl could not wait to go for a ride on the Choo Choo Charlie train.
Our little girl needed a little push from daddy to move her Choo Choo train.
Get ready for some head-spinning on this turtle whirl! This was the most thrilling ride as we felt a bit groggy after the ride.
Chevrolet off road rally where our little girl took the driver's seat.
Our little girl still does not have the stamina to play for the whole day. She finally gave up her struggle with the Z monster and fell asleep after lunch.
To keep ourselves entertained while she was sleeping, Daddy decided to challenge mommy at the shooting gallery. Mommy gamely took up the challenge. Guess who won?
This was taken on board the Lady Gay river boat that cruised around the Botanical Garden of the Ditch Wonderland.
The ride on the Double Splash flume was very thrilling when it dashed down the slide. Daddy sat with Sheri in the front seat while mommy took the back seat. Daddy had to hold our little Sheri very tightly to prevent her from thrusting forward.
The last stop was the Duke Lagoon. What could be a better way to end the day than some splish and splash in this hot summer day!
