Buying baby stuff.......a big headache!

I'm now 26 weeks pregnant. It's time to start buying stuff for baby Sheri. We had a lot of inertia in buying the baby stuff at the beginning. Somehow, we were not used to walking into the baby's department in the mall. I suppose we were used to buying stuff for ourselves only for so many years and therefore, we found it difficult to buy things for a new member in the family who has not arrived. I wonder whether any of my friends who have just become parents shared the sentiments as us at the beginning. Anyway, we have started to accept the reality when we bought the first baby item, that is, a 4-in-1 crib from Target. It was from then onwards that we began our collection of baby items.
Buying baby items can be quite an overwhelming experience for first time parents like us. Fortunately, our friends here have been quite helpful to us. They gave us buying lists and offer us valuable advice. So far, we have gathered items like the infant car seat, stroller, baby crib and crib bedding set. Having a baby in a foreign country is not easy as we do not get to use items that are passed down from your nephews and nieces. So, it can be quite straining on our finances as we have to buy most of the stuff ourselves.

Hi, nice to read your blog again. I enjoy buying things for my baby, especially during the sale period. That includes buying many items baby did not use in the end, like the baby waist band, nappy pants, sarong sling, baby carrier, etc. He even had new shoes and clothes he did not get to wear in the end. I'm still keeping them, perhaps for the next one. I'm looking forward...
